Very useful and pretty simple to use.
The program is pretty slow - it can take 30 minutes to search 3 or 4 folders with 2Gb plus in them. But the worst is it seizes up quite a bit. Often forcing a ctrl. alt. del. shut down of the program. Hasn't crashed the computer even once, though.
Simple interface, fairly quick-scanned 30,000+ files on my largest partition in about 4-5 minutes-then checked the same for dupes in about 7 minutes and found 19,697 dupes, it's able to dig deep into any path, and you're able to choose specific files types or leave field blank to scan all files.
One major problem for me, the results returned are in individual "sets". On my largest drive (see above), you have to go through each set individually. Couldn't find any way around that, gave up when I had to go through 19,000+ sets. It did lock up twice, but it was on the same file each time, so probably my problem not the programs.
good checker for duplicate files
uses crc to check if they are the same
handy to see which files on ur backup have changed or which mp3 files u have duplicate. if u dont want to delete certain extensions u can apply a simple but powerfull filter to include or exclude any extension u want
Ineffectual memory management - could not handle 100,000 file HDD. Ludicrous Delete procedure. Poor Display feature. Written by "Runningman" - I recommend you don't chase after him!
When it trys to delete a file it reports that it can't find the path and then comes to a screeching halt. In a word -- JUNK.
