Version: Dudebox Explorer 8.5.7
"A mixed blessing - crippled trialware"
Summary: This is definitely an improvement over managing the Dell DJ with MusicMatch Pukebox, with the following caveats:
1) The trial version is crippled. If you want to sync or transfer files, be prepared to fork over 20 bones 2)In order for Dudebox to work, it must be running in the background - consumes about 9-10MB of RAM on my machine 3)It allows you to edit tag information for files directly on the DJ, but if you edit something such as the album, when you sync with files on your hard drive, Dudebox thinks the file you edited is different from the one on your PC, so the same song shows up as not being synced when it actually is. This makes the tag editing features a bit useless if you use the sync function - best to edit all the files on your PC before transferring.
Other than that, this program is definitely recommended, as it makes transferring files from the DJ and back to the PC a snap.
