"Download link for 1.4.2 works!"
Version: Dropbox 1.4.2
Pros
Able to download the app now
Cons
Always want more control over what gets shared and how
Summary
Previous versions were excellent. v1.4.1 failed to download (1.4.2 has fixed that, at least in my OSX Lion 10.7.3 installation).
I like ability to instantly share selected folders with specific individuals or groups. -

"Download link doesn't work"
Version: Dropbox 1.4.1
Pros
Excellent app! I really look forward to the upgrade (when I can get it)
Cons
v1.4.1 (which won't download) is supposed to fix startup problem with v1.4.0 (available from publisher).
Summary
After finding this link for v1.4.1 doesn't work, I went to the publishers site and downloaded v1.4.0. Then I came back to this page and found that v1.4.1 fixes problem with not starting on MacOS X. Since 1.4.0 won't start and 1.4.1 isn't on the publisher's site (nor here), how do I upgrade from my previous version 1.2.52?

"One of my most trusted apps"
Version: Dropbox 1.4.1
Pros
New link capability works fine; service is free; seamless operation on the desktop and also a fine iOS app; don't need to remember to update or anything else - it just works.
Cons
None, really
Summary
The new version makes it much easier for recipients of links to download shared files without signing up. I have been using this for years. Many thanks to the Dropbox team.

"I love Dropbox"
Version: Dropbox 1.2.52
Pros
It allows me to access files easily on my MacBook, iPod Touch and iPad 2. These files are always synchronized. Dropbox makes the iPad a great computing device, not just a very good one. You can easily leave the laptop behind and conduct all of your business using Dropbox.
Cons
There are really none except a two our security breach last year.
Summary
I have been using Dropbox since it's debut. I have a paid account plus I have recommended it to many people so I have a lot of extra space. I can access all of my important files no matter where I am. It makes my iPad?s 32GB storage space plenty for all of my needs. Most third party IOS applications sync with Dropbox so I can easily access any file I want, view or modify it and send it back to Droobox. This tool is essential to my workflow. iCloud does not come close.

"Dropbox is a nice utility"
Version: Dropbox 1.2.52
Pros
Access files from anywhere on a phone as well.
Cons
Cost too much
Summary
Though I have a DropBox account my preference is a "my personal cloud". So, I went with Pogoplug. Ten GB of free storage, plus one can purchase a Pogoplug device for less than $100 and connect many external drives. Pay a onetime cost for the device I am set.
Yes, I do like Dropbox, however above 2GB their cost becomes prohibitive. On my personal cloud I can have a many TB of storage for free. -
"Simplifies my life"
Version: Dropbox 1.2.52
Pros
I can go to my Dropbox folder and find all my important files on any computer. Of course, users have to store files in the Dropbox folder for them to be in sync on other computers with Dropbox installed. You can even see your files on a strange computer by logging in at Dropbox.com.
Cons
I have found no cons with the Dropbox service. Have never had any security issues.
Summary
To me, Dropbox is the ultimate file and folder sync service. It does for files and folders what LastPass does for password syncs and Xmarks does for bookmarks. They are among the first pieces of software I install on every new computer.
