  "Brilliant Multi-platform sync tool"

  Version: Dropbox 0.7.97

  Pros

  Runs on Windoze, Mac and Linux
  Synchronizes very quickly, especially with the LAN sync option.
  Ability to undo changes for up to 30 days for free or forever with a pack-rat subscription. Recovering from that Ooops moment is wonderful.

  Cons

  Cannot select existing folders to sync, you are limited to using the new DropBox folder.
  Upgrades to new versions is manual, needs to be automatic.

  Summary

  It can be used for a multitude of purposes, for one specific one checkout

  "Excellent, painless way to keep files backed up"

  Pros

  Back up on line, can't be lost or destroyed at home.
  Synced with every change in a file.
  Available to all your computers.

  Cons

  The "free" account is only 2 MB.
