    "Security, attitude, technical issues"

    September 14, 2013  |   By SarahAston100

    Version: Dropbox 2.2.13

    Pros

    popular, cross-platform.

    Cons

Very bad customer service with a bad attitude.
    Bad security measures. Account hacked.
Technical glitches, drains battery on laptops.

    Summary

Ditching Dropbox for technical, attitude and security issues, I've moved on to Copy, it's impressive!

They give you 15GB - 20GB if you sign up via this promo link: https://copy.com?r=9IfWjn - with a further 2GB for linking to twitter, so basically you start with 22GB free space with 5GB per each further referral.

With a client for every platform (Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android), the interface is clean, the program works wonderfully, very fast, supports Wifi Sync and AES256 encryption before sending and again on their servers, boasting no file-size limits, fair storage sharing, dup detection, gzip compression, full versioning (Dropbox charges) allowing undeletes and file rollbacks which can be a lifesaver.

"Handy yet but is NOT online storage"

    September 9, 2013  |   By Inagaddadavitababyh

    Version: Dropbox 2.2.13

    Pros

I am required to post 10 characters of why I like the program here?

    Cons

You must have room on every computer to handle what is in the online cloud. So if you want to keep all your photos in one spot, you will be keeping all of them on all your computers.

    "still the best service"

    August 18, 2013  |   By nir888

    Version: Dropbox 2.2.13

    Pros

i tried almost every cloud service, but dropbox is still the best one.
it's got the best features like automatic photo upload , and the most 3rd party application support.

    Cons

the free account has relatively small space , but you can get more space by referral others

    Summary

definitely the best cloud service , and if you haven't tried it you must give it a try

if you sign with this link you will get extra free space (and help me get more space)

    "Unreliable and costly"

    June 27, 2013  |   By cosplaygrrrl

    Version: Dropbox 2.2.3

    Pros

    None that I can see

    Cons

Small storage space, wants money for what others give for free. Many outages.

    Summary

Speaking of Dropbox, a good alternative thats getting abuzz right now is Copy. com. Apparently it's functions are the same as Dropbox's but it is a bit more secure because files are encrypted on your end before they are uploaded.

Also they're giving everyone 15GB to start with free for life, 20GB with a referral. If anyone wants to start with that extra +5GB, you could use my referral code and we'll both get a bonus.

    15GB +5GB = 20 GB https://copy.com?r=jY7ddZ

    Thanks guys!

    "Great features, not enough space"

    June 8, 2013  |   By jctea

    Version: Dropbox 2.0.26

    Pros

Probably still the most popular service
    Integrates well with other services

    Cons

Mainly the tiny 2 GB space. These days that's just not enough.

    Summary

They really should increase the 2 GB space.

I recently discovered a new Dropbox competitor called Copy that offers 15 GB on sign-up, plus 5GB if you sign up via a referral link (https://copy.com?r=dmNMM7) for a total of 20 GB. Feature-wise it's comparable to Dropbox.

    "Brilliant but sometime unreliable"

    May 22, 2013  |   By rio_rick

    Version: Dropbox 2.0.16

    Pros

I can share photos and videos with family and friends, some of which are too large to send via email.

    Cons

Occasionally folders are removed from my Dropbox without explanation.

    Summary

Make sure you understand how to protect your files so that they cannot be removed without your permission.

    "Didn't Find It Necessary."

    May 19, 2013  |   By RMax304823

    Version: Dropbox 2.0.16

    Pros

Easy access to important files from desktop icon.

    Cons

    (1) I only have one desktop PC and none others to connect to, so there was little point in keeping the program. (2) Installation was easy enough but I was unable to email files directly from Dropbox, so keeping it served no purpose.

    Summary

I can understand why many might find it useful, but some of us don't get much out of it.
