"It Will Help Solve Your Problems"

    December 2, 2012  |   By jrs85704

I had two driver problems that DriverMax was able to help me fix. One was with my graphics driver and the other was with the SystemTray USB eject applet. It does a great job of notifying when new drivers are available.

Be careful because not all drivers are right for your laptop or computer. Your best bet is to install one per day and allow at least one restart to make sure the driver is right. Always choose to create a restore point.

DriverMax does not always detect that the latest driver is, in fact, installed and will mark it as out of date. I keep a log of the drivers and versions I've installed and compare the DriverMax recommendations against that list.

Their support is prompt but not great. That, in combination with my recommendation that only one driver be installed per day, means it not worth purchasing a license.

An excellent resource if used cautiously.
