"Just stick with windows update and manufacturer drivers"

    June 24, 2012  |   By AVM1986

    Pros

+ When you miss a driver and know what driver it is, it's a good solution. (for example, fixing sound)

    Cons

    - Device Manager through start>right click computer and device manager didn't not work/open after installing a great user rated driver.

    - Messed up my modem, router or internet settings and had to format windows and install new windows 7. But internet settings are still messed up and can't get it back to work. Internet connection is now 2-10kb because two drivers killed certain settings, DNS or wathever.

    - Driver Backup and rollback function failed so many times and suddenly i couldn't get back bus host controller and hid-compliant device. So system restore is the only way, i only reinstalled new windows and now internet problems still remain.

    Summary

I even did research about certain drivers and only auto-driver programs have these certain drivers in their websites.

If sound, video and everything works perfect after windows updates and manufacturer updates, than leave it be and don't use these auto update programs.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I rated drivermax from 1 to 4* and now back to 1* and i'm now sure that i'll stick with 1*
It messed something up with my internet and still can't understand and find what the problem is.
Only cable activity and pc connection are flickering/blinking in modem, but internet and cable link are just green colored and are not blinking. (before drivermax, all 4 connection were flickering/blinking and downloading was 2.5MB)
Also after restoring hid-compliant device, the driver restore failed and suddenly my start>program list was gone entirely.
