"#1 Free hardware update software for a reason"

    August 15, 2014  |   By Dr. Roman

    Version: DriverMax 7.37

    Pros

Just a small list of personal likes:
    1) Simple and easy-to-use user interface.
    2) Never bugs me with notifications.
    3) Fetches updates from reliable sources.
    4) Free version does an honest search and doesn't claim my laptop is from the Stone Age and only Pro version can bring it back to the present.
    5) Backs-up your drivers prior to installation of new ones.
    6) Get a quick and easy survey after installing a driver in order to rate the driver's reliability (less chance of downloading a corrupt driver for everyone).
    7) It's free.

    Cons

    A few cons:
    1) If not careful, installing this software will install other potentially unwanted software.
    2) If you're updating multiple drivers, free version users, get ready to put your patience to the test. After the first two downloads, the queue will become hours, not minutes.

    Summary

Overall a great driver update software that has earned it's place at the top.

    "5 Stars Considering it's FREE!!"

    August 12, 2014  |   By eViLAnGeL1

    Version: DriverMax 7.36

    Pros

It really does a great job. It does not limit you as to how many downloads you can do either. The downloads do get slower with each consecutive one, but still it's better than what the competition is offering. It is one of VERY few programs out there that is NOT forcing you or tricking you into downloading their program, after giving you some sales pitch about how you can download as many drivers as you want for free. DriverMax and SlimDrivers have been about the best I've seen so far.

    Cons

The downloads take progressively longer with each one, which kind of sucks, but what do you expect for FREE?

    Summary

It's still definitely worth using this program, in my opinion. The driver updates were correct and the most up-to-date, the price was right (FREE!), and they weren't continually pushing their paid version on you.

    Updated on Aug 13, 2014

I've continued to have great success with this awesome program. It has found some drivers that I had hunted endlessly for, and had come up with nothing. It has made my life much easier. This program may even be worthy of considering purchasing the full PRO version of! In my original review I had compared DriverMax along beside SlimDrivers, but I would have to say that while SlimDrivers had come up saying that all my drivers were up-to-date, DriverMax was reporting approximately 12 out of date drivers.

"Not a single issue - Windows 7 running like a dream!"

    August 7, 2014  |   By Treasuress4207

    Version: DriverMax 7.36

    Pros

User-Friendly interface. Easy to follow instructions. Uses minimal system resources, and is unobtrusive in operation. Locates for you the most up-to-date drivers relevant for your particular system, without the need to hunt the internet for them. Lets you choose which drivers you really want to update/install and allows you to disregard any you don't feel are important. Quick download and installation of new drivers. Allows for the setting of a system restore point prior to installation of each and every driver, just in case there happens to be an issue, making it easy to troubleshoot if the need arises. I have never had to use system restore points to recover, as I have never had a single issue installing the suggested drivers.

    Cons

The unpaid version I'm using has a short delay before download, but hey - for a product I've not paid to use, I'm absolutely not going to complain about waiting for a few minutes.

    Summary

The highest possible recommendation for an outstanding product. Perfect for both advanced and novice computer users with an easy to operate interface and clear and concise instructions. Zero risk to your system, this program allows the setting of a restore point prior to installing each and every driver, so that if by some chance you do encounter a problem, it can be undone in a flash. Fast in all respects - download/setup of restore point/installation. Unobtrusive with no irritating popups, and takes up very minimal system resources. Definitely a product I would not be without!

    Pros

NONE. My computer is no long working the way it was.

    Cons

It's a scam. Tech support does not respond to emails.

    Summary
