Program quickly highlighted drivers needing back-up; when I tried to back-up drivers - msg - "not need bac k-up". I'm new at thisand I'm confused.

Does not appear to have a comprehensive or extensive pro tutorial or index, all suggestions are from amateurs who have fiddled around with it, and in some cases they disagree on applications

Tells you whether a device is already supported by WinXP (and thus needs no driver back up) or not.
Cons
Didn't work for me - after backing up my sound card drivers and then formatting, it couldn't restore it. It said some files were missing. I suppose there is really no way for a program to determine with certainty all the files and registry settings used by a device's drivers.
