"Easy solution to mirroring and restoring your OS"
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Pros
No installation needed
Simple interface
Easy to use
Backs up and restores data easily
Creates a mirror copy of your OSCons
You can't program it to back up at a certain time
Summary
You do not even need you to install it to run DriveSnapshot this can be done optionally from a USB thumbstick if you wanted to, this software will make your life very easy to mirror and restore the whole OS, there are three main buttons on the interface, "BACK UP" ; "RESTORE" ; "VIEW DATA", the last one being a viewer of the backed up data, it cant get any better than this.
Drive Snapshot can actually be scheduled for backups it uses Windows Schedule, I withdraw all cons from this product.

"The Best Hard Drive Imaging App. Period"
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Pros
I've used loads of drive imaging programs, freeware, commercial and shareware, and Drive Snapshot outshines them all. Very fast. Ability to image the drive while running the operating system is unparalleled, except for Terabyte Unlimited's Image for Windows, which requires an add-on program and reboot. It's simple and effective. The price is well worth it. Combined with a BartPE boot disk for restore functions, this is the way to go.
Cons
Nothing.

"Simple. Well written. Good e-mail support. Efficient."
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Pros
I love this! Doesn't install, it's just one exe file. Backups the drive even if it's working.
Cons
Too little colors used on UI? :))
Seriously: It could do scheduled backup ... who wants to write batch files these days?

"***? It installs and then says that it is expired as of 9/2004."
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Pros
The install is small and installs fast, so you don't feel like you wasted a bunch of time after you realize this piece of crap don't work.
Cons
I feel like a retard now. I just lost 10 minutes of my life that I'll never get back.

"GREAT! Read more!"
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Pros
Absolutely incredible!!!! Backed up a 350 gig Raid0 configuration many, many months ago, and I religiously kept backing it up on a weekly basis. Hoped I would never need to restore the volume, but then, quite unexpectedly, disaster struck! Because one of my hard drives totally failed, I was forced to use the DOS restore. It was like magic! Installed new drive, launched Snapshot and waited about two (2) hours. When I rebooted, it was as though nothing had ever happened. Even my Norton Security Suite worked flawlessly, and you KNOW what a pain Norton (Symantec) can be!
I simply cannot put into words just how pleased I am with Snapshot. NOTHING CHANGED!!! My Windows XP license was intact, all of the software I had purchased online operated and was still licensed, and even Windows Update found absolutely nothing I had to change.
READ MY LIPS!!!!! If you are looking for fast, simple and PERFECT disk imaging software, look no farther. Drive Snapshot is the answer.
Cons
NONE!

"expired"
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Cons
This version I downloaded (v1.34) is out of date -- works no longer than 2004.

"Best drive imaging product, period."
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Pros
A single GUI executable and no registry footprint (you can download just the .exe from the developer's web site and avoid the "Setup" routine). Can backup the Windows system volume, while Windows is running, to an image file on the same volume! The latest version (1.37) performs differential backups - only one full backup and the latest differential backup are needed for a full restore (much easier than an incremental restore). Has a commandline interface, also runs under real MS-DOS, and fits on a boot floppy! Images can be password protected and browsed for file extraction, etc. What more could you want?
Cons
The $50 price range may seem slightly steep for a single file that fits on a floppy. But compared to what the "big name" imaging products do for the same price, this product is actually a better deal.

"FLAWLESS and it works for me"
Version: Drive Snapshot 1.24
Summary
Using the free trial I have created and restored several images (12 and up GB) from within W2K without a single itch. With good CPU and USB 2.0 the program is very fast (19 min for about 12GB image). User interface is VERY simple. Ability to explore files contained in image very powerful. My emails to tech support (just for knowing about additional features) have been responded in one day. I am a user, I have no other agenda than that of having a reliable way to upgrade or restore my working configuration. I have tried other products and this is the one I buy and recommend.
