The browser plugin works with both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer (OmniWeb compatibility is coming very, very soon).

Smart Download Segmenting is a new feature that optimizes download speeds. Sometimes, it doesn't make sense to use four connections to download a small file. Download Deputy 4.7 can automatically pick the right number of connections to use based on the file's size. You can toggle this feature on and off in the preferences window.
