"Good Program but FILLED with Spyware!!!"

Its fast with downloading.

It is PACKED with Spyware!!! It says on their website that it doesn't have any, but I ran Spybot on it and find 84 files of Spyware from it (mostly ad prgrams)! It's a good program for the must part, just make sure that when you d/l it, have Ad-aware or Spybot handy to clean it up.

Reading the reviews, the main con was, that DAP contains Spyware.What Spyware? My Spyware cleaners(I use Spybot, Ad-aware, and Spyware Doctor) have only said, that the full program is Spyware. But if you read its Privacy Policy(with the small letters), it says, that DAP may ask you, to give them personal informations. But it also says, that this is voluntarily!!! You don't have to give them anything, and you still can use the program! And now, Ad-Aware and Spyware Doctor don't detect them as a threat. Try it, if you don't beleive me!(You have to have the latest updates for them of course). And it really speeds up the downloads too.I really recomend it to everybody!
Cons
The annoying advertisment bar is still there, but you can block most of the Ads with a good firewall.Or you can also upgrade it to DAP Premium, which is advertisment free.

After buying, could not download product. Optimizer constantly pushed. E-mail with manufacturer was slow, and they could not correct problem.

This is one of the best download accelearators I have ever seen. It made my downloads 300% faster! I highly recommend it.

The site said that it is 100% Spyware free, but when I installed it, it came with the spyware PowerStrip.

"This is a piece of crap!!!!"

It doesn't work! I've tried and tried to get this thing to work, and it don't. So, I got rid of it, and I will NOT ever recommend anything from speedbit, at all, anymore. It used to be good, but no longer. I would recommend going back to downloading with IE's downloader before ever using this thing ever again. The best thing they could do is make it free, and make it more user friendly.

if u are searching for a download manager, that doens't have spyware or adware, more importantly it has to be free. don't download flashget, netants, this product or any thing else, except LEECHGET...COME ON it's free, no spywar no adware...it's not a trial it's a freeeware if u don't use it commercially go get leechget it's GREAT!!!

And here's the but. It contains a ton of spyware. Everytime I downloaded it and used it, my spyware programs went nuts. If you don't mind spyware on your computer, its fine. If you do, beware.

"It's not Free"

Summary
Not only is it not free... you get constant windows wanting one to buy. Also, there are other programs assocaited with this one. I went to buy one and ended up having three others ones automatically added and charged to my credit card. Be Careful of this one.
