"podcast is awful...i wish, i never installed it."
Version: DoubleTwist 2.7.0.3867 beta
Pros
something is better than nothing..
Cons
poor sync, bad organizer, little features, poor view
Summary
The sync takes really lot of time, you get couple of folders podcast folders with the same name,no option to delete them, you can view it only in portrait unable to view it landscape, idea behind double twist is good but it miserably failed.

"DoubleTwist are anti-Apple"
Version: DoubleTwist 2.7.0.3867 beta
Pros
Uncluttered interface
Cons
Useless on Mac if your portable music players are Apple devices.
Summary
DoubleTwist is a half-baked wonder and is not the 'friend-to-everyone' as it purports to be. Its promo video berates software vendors who don't provide for seamless interoperable software and then hails DoubleTwist as the ray of light, hero and provider of this utopia. After installing it, however, one finds a different story altogether. If, like me you use a Mac, have an iPod and you try DoubleTwist as an iTunes alternative, you'll be sorely disappointed. Plug in your iPod/iPhone and it labels your portable music player as 'Read-only' i.e. no syncing allowed.
After scouring DoubleTwist's forums, I read a surly reply from an administrator exclaiming "We only do syncing to your Apple products on the Windows platform."
This renders the Mac version virtually useless. Reading this makes clear that DoubleTwist is basically anti-Apple and 'your' Apple products are treated with disdain. It's just opposition in principle.
So much for interoperability and harmony. -
"Cream Of The Crop !!!!..A MUST HAVE APP"
Version: DoubleTwist 2.7.0.3867 beta
Pros
Best all in1 for music, video, pictures.picked up my ipod touch[itunes] np added playlist/media from anywhere pc/external.easy to remove and add, even the album art ..IMPRESSIVE with a personal proflle and links to utube, flixer etc all on one page..
Cons
None that ive found yet...if anything the original itunes took a while to load..else fine if you can wait and install all your media..on pc, drives and ipod..its a must have..so easy to remove and add media..
Summary
Have never liked the fact that most media needs several apps..and itunes limited itself to just one app...that and i now have no more scrolling through 1000s tunes for one play..and have instant viewing panels to all my media files..

"Good thing it's beta and free.Read the community forum."
Version: DoubleTwist 2.4 beta
Pros
Great concept
Cons
Doesn't deliver. Very poor in actual use. Developers/Moderators are useless. Read the community forums before committing you time, effort and energy to this app. Best thing about it: it's free. Worst thing: it really doesn't worl!
Summary
It's in Beta now. If the real version is anywhere near this version, stay away! I encourage everyone to visit the Community forums for DT on their website!

"Good player but not by itself."
Version: DoubleTwist 2.4 beta
Pros
I like how it manages pictures and videos, and how easy is to sync. Plays videos really well and the picture viewer is good. It also have a very easy to use interface.
Cons
I don't like how is not a player on its own. It behaves more like an iTunes add-on that a self Media Player. No way 2 edit tags, separate player for music was a bad move. No album artwork.
Summary
It's free. It's stable. Good video manager and does good with pictures. But if you are looking for an iTunes/WMP replacement look somewhere else. This is more like an add-on, maybe sooner or later it will become independent,

"Great Software and will be the iTunes of Android."
Version: DoubleTwist 2.4 beta
Pros
1. Syncs iTunes and other media
2. Very Open Source
3. Sync just about every device out there for purchase (Atleast the ones I've tried)
4. Built in Android market, Amazon music and movies, you can subscribe to various podcasts and much more...Cons
1. Does not sync apps from anywhere
2. A little difficult to use and does not look as bueatiful as iTunes
3. Needs a few more nice features like the ability for you to see doubles to delete andSummary
Great media software that you can download to your PC and then sync media straight to your device. Basically iTunes for Android except no way to download apps to your PC and then Sync to Android device. I love it and i think you would fall in love with it to. all you have to do is just try it out... And Unless Google comes out with their verison of iTunes doubleTwist is the app you want.

"crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Version: DoubleTwist 2.4 beta
Pros
I didn't like anything about it
Cons
wouldn't recognize my device, kept screwing up my internet connection, knocked out my other apps that were running perfectly fine until I installed this..useless

"Nice application......but"
Version: DoubleTwist 2.4 beta
Pros
Syncs all kind of media to any device and has great feautures as sync music, video, search and subscibe to podcasts, send media to family and friends.
Cons
when i was saying " syncs any device", I was not joking, syncs to my printer, usb sticks, external hard drives, the developers should fix this...
Summary
I have an HTC magic and this app is working very well; the developers has a website, specialized for android Applications, with a very similar layout as DoubleTwist , they should integrate this to the application, but not sould be limited only for Android, but also for blackberry, iphone and more .. ...

"Does what it says... but"
Version: DoubleTwist 2.4 beta
Pros
Syncs with any device... I tried my Touch, Droid, and PSP. It works.
Cons
Learning curve, especially with playlists.
Summary
I use the program and am still figuring out the quirks. It syncs whatever I want to wherever I want. But somehow it duplicated my entire Itunes playlist under an artist. For example, I hit all music on my droid, and an artist isn't there, but I notice that on my phone (for example) I go to the band Rehab. It shows 3 of 93. It sync'd other songs along with it (with two other artists as well). Like I said, I use it, and figuring out the quirks. Until it is a bit more streamlined I can definitely deal with it. 4 stars, It's definitely better than Motorola's half done syncer that's avail for download, get this instead and start out fresh with your music and electronics.
