Summary
I have a P4 3.2 Ghz Processor (800Mhz FSB) HT technology, 1 GB 400Mhz DDR RAM, RADEON 9800 PRO, and a 5.1 Sound Blaster Sound card. If you are lucky enough to have these specs, you are able to run Doom3 at 1024x768 on High Detail Resolution. This demo will make you run to your nearest outlet store and spend the 50 dollars without hesitation.

Guess my video card is not sufficient - "ERROR: The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features." It would have been nice if there was an easy way to check this BEFORE I spent an hour (on cable!) downloading this now-worthless file.

Summary
This is the best demo for the triligy that is Doom. For those who say it sucks as a FPS, don't belieive them. FPS are the only types of games I play and while others are still better than Doom 3, this is by far the best version for the Doom franchise.

Summary
As far as Doom goes, this is a good re-make, theres no denying the engine I.D. have created is versatile; the game even looks good on the lowest settings.
It looks good, it does genuinely create a sense of fear (play it loud and with the lights off). However, as far as FPS go, and if we were to take it a just being a FPS, it has no real substance, the enemies follow pre-specified attack paths which you can soon learn. More a step backwards than forwards in that sense. Not to say its bad, by any means, its still a good game and i highly reccomend it.
If you dont believe me, check the demo out. -
