"Avoid at all costs it hijacks your Address Bar"
None, all Cons.
As an IT Professional I don't understand the need for so called 'meta' search engines in the first place - find a search engine you like, perhaps two, and stick to them.
However during a support call last night I found DogPile behaving in what I can only describe as in a sinister way - it hijacked the user's Internet Explorer Address bar, not the search box next to the Address Bar, but the actual Address Bar. As he typed the address I gave him over the phone DogPile began searching - this is plain wrong - if you enter an address you know to be correct that last thing you want is to have other sites, not including the one you want to go to, offered to you. I had remote control of his PC so was able to help him. The site was new no search engine could find it so he was unable to get to the site until I disabled this behavior for him. I also recommended he uninstalls DogPile.
This is a sinister and sneaky way to behave and should, in my humble opinion, be banned from being allowed.
