Well thought out and well implemented utility that does exactly what it claims to do (a rarity these days!) I happily handed over my ten bucks. -
"Great Little App"
Version: DockStar 2.0.3

DockStar is one of those shareware apps that does what shareware is supposed to do: make your life a little easier or more enjoyable. To be able to glance at the Mail icon in the dock and see what mailbox receives new mail is not only a timesaver, but just cool in general! For $8, well worth it. -

It took me about two minutes of using this to convince me to fork over the money. This shows me the important stuff so I don't have to keep switching over to Mail to see what came in.
Among other badges, I also have it set to show me my incomplete mails in Drafts (so I might actually finish them), and a big pink heart in the middle for emails from my wife (after all, it's Valentine's Day as I write this)!
I'm totally happy with iGlasses from the same developer, and this is at least as elegant as that is.

I really like this and its very flexible. Its really handy being able to see which mailbox is trying to grab your attention. Lets you ignore the mail until you are ready. -
"Why didn't I think of that?"

I love shareware that makes a nifty tweak to the interface with my computer, does exactly what the developer claims it will do, and is offered at a reasonable price. DockStar meets all of these requirements.
The ability to know at a glance if an arriving message is to my work, personal, family, volunteer work, or SPAM inbox is extremely convenient. This was a very easy $8 decision. -

This is a very nice add-on to Apple Mail. I like the ability to set different sizes and shapes of counts for different mailboxes. It all works very well. -
