There are many drawbacks to paper-based offices: papers are easily lost, damaged, or stolen, paper files take up lots of space, and paper purchasing can become costly. Paper is not a very environmentally sound option, either, especially if you have trouble getting people on board with recycling. If you like the idea of going paperless but you're not quite sure how to implement it, try DocPoint - Document Management Software. This intuitive program lets users organize, store, and share documents electronically, minimizing the need for paper.
The program's interface is plain and attractive, with its features arranged in intuitive menus. You can think of DocPoint as a virtual filing cabinet. In fact, it uses the same terminology, making it easy for users to make the conceptual leap from paper to electronic documents. Each document--and these can be Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, images, or other types of files--is attached to a virtual card listing the author, subject, keyword, and other information. Users store these cards and their attached documents within a folder, which is then placed in a particular "cabinet." For example, the program comes with sample cabinets for marketing, sales, project management, research and development, and quality assurance. Users can create custom cabinets and folders within them so that document storage works just like it always has, but with no paper cuts or jammed drawers. DocPoint also integrates well with Microsoft Outlook, making it easy to send and receive documents via e-mail. The program's built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, providing plenty of guidance to new users. Overall, we think DocPoint is a great choice for anyone looking to break a paper habit.

Pros
I liked the simple interface, everything works out-of-the-box. Setting up a shared environment where everyone can access their documents was very easy. Excellent support. Good integration with our Microsoft Office applications.
