Great interface can convert mp4 to divx. But.......

Cannot convert mkv to divx. If you want to costumize the size of video frame, fps, and audio bitrate one at a time. Other video converters automatic one costumization for all videos.

Easy to use convertor. Automatically detects audio, only need to set bitrate for example.
Convertor GUI vastly superior to old divx convertor.Cons
Player will not play convertor output! Whatever select, the codec is missing. In fact player plays almost nothing. So far missing Xvid, H264, DX50 divx capabilities.
Poor information on what this will actually convert.Summary
Does a good job of converting. Can upgrade to Pro free if have Divx 7 Pro.
(Do not believe AVG. AVG is garbage.)
Don't need this however. Other programs will create a 1080 H264-AC3 video, and older versions also produce DX50 divx (home theater mode) -

Where to begin? In brief, you have to trust that it is working. It takes forever, i.e. 17 hours to convert files. Takes a lot, 80%, of memory, I have 2 GB.
Summary
Poor functionality. Once you begin to convert a file you cannot pause or suspend, you can only cancel. Takes forever as described above. I tried several times to convert to different locations. It said it was converting, however, no sign of the file, or the conversion in the subdirectory. Also, cannot view avi files on the player; they skip, and freeze, player is unusable for files you may already have. It may work with files it converts but who can wait that long. By the way, I started a new conversion as I began this evaluation. It started at "11%" converted; it still reads 11% and there is no file in the destination location. Before I end this I will delete the entire program. OK, looks like the uninstall portion of the program worked.

excellent video quality, whether just DivX Plus Player, or HD Web Player, they are both fantastic.
Cons
Web Player causes issues with java script in internet explorer. The DivX Plus player, has big issues with playing .avi files, will not play properly. I have a support ticket with DivX now, and awaiting resolution.

Web Player causes issues with java script in internet explorer, example : cannot use some forums pages toolbar like change text color, embed pictures or videos. you have to go into internet explorer tools, manage addons, and disable all 3 DivX Plus addons, and then re-enable them when you are done. The DivX Plus player, has big issues with playing .avi files. these are the only cons i have found so far, and have been using Plus for 2-3 months

Norton confirmed this as adware, and that it came from a known attacker location.
