Version: Diskeeper 2009
"Bloatware, doesn't support Win 2000"
Pros: Can't say, since it didn't run
Cons: One large package even if you only want defrag, hence big download, takes forever to decompress itself, etc., only then checks the version of Windows. Unlike what the CNET site says, it then announces that it does not support Win 2000.
Summary: Bloatware, doesn't support Win 2000, older versions that might are unavailable. Don't go near it if all you want is a defragmenter.

You missed the whole concept. It does run in the background. Start it. Enable the drives you wish to defrag. OK then forget about it. It will keep your drive defragged.
