"Excellent! Can use BootCD to make a bootable tools..."

    Version: DiskWarrior 3.0

    Summary

    ...disk.

As ever, DiskWarrior is brilliant. I've used it since version 1 and never had a problem. I was a bit annoyed about waiting so long for the CD to arrive, but I realised I could use BootCD 0.5.3 to make a bootable OS X disk. I now have an OS X 10.2.6 bootable CD with DiskWarrior 3, and was able to use it to rebuild my hard disk directories and run the S.M.A.R.T. diagnostics.
    Recommended.

    "Seems OK"

    Version: DiskWarrior 3.0

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I hesitated to use a *.0 version of a disk utility on my main system drive...but did it anyways (daily, full, rotating backups give one a sense of security). I booted to a Lacie 200GB FW 10.2.6 system drive, installed the software and let it rip...after a lightening fast rebuild, and verify ( a couple of minutes instead of the usual minimum of an hour ), with beads of sweat trickling down my face, I chose to 'Replace...'. Seconds before it finished, DiskWarrior crashed.

Without rebooting, I ran it again, and it was able to complete the operation without fail. I ran it on 3 other Lacie 200GB FW storage drives and it ran flawlessly.

Reboot to my main system drive went well, and all seems in order. I've been running the hell out of all of these drives all morning and they all seem fine.

I suppose I could take a star off for the crash, but who knows what that was about...not necessarily DiskWarrior. And all was recovered without a hitch.

Now I think that I can really shake myself of OS9...a good OSX disk utility app was the holdup.

I downloaded it this morning and used it to fix an OS X volume that was royally screwed up. It fixed in three minutes what used to take two to three hours with DW 2. This one is a real winner!
