"Fantastic!"
Version: DiskAid 3.11
Pros
Actually allowed me to connect to my iPod Touch 3rd Gen. 64GB and recover the music that was still visible (had lost some due to an incomplete sync previously). My backup hard drive was tragically erased and this saved me half of what I had before.
Cons
They do not tell you that it is a trial-version. They label this as free and it is not completely free. However, for the 14 days they give you, you are able to recover music if you lost it on your computer in one instance with no restriction.
Summary
If I had the money to spend right now then I would purchase the license and keep the software. I am just grateful that they did not put a restriction on how many files you could transfer, either per instance of transference or overall. I was able to transfer every music file in one instance and it worked perfectly. It would be nice if the software was also entertainment oriented in the sense that when the files are transferred it would be able to correctly organize the music files based on the names, artists, albums, etc. This would be a major undertaking and not something I would take away from their rating for. This program did exactly what I wanted and hoped for. I can always organize the music myself.
I am giving them a 5 star rating but I was very tempted to take away a star for their blatant and obvious lie that the software is free when once it is installed you get a small warning along the bottom that you have 14 days of trial use.
I would recommend this to everyone if you need to recover files on your iPod Touch and don't want to mess with trials that limit you. Amazing program and I wish this group the best of luck. -
"Great product for tapping into the storage of you iPod"
Version: DiskAid 1.5
Pros
Great for transferring files or folders to iPod
Easy to installCons
Sneaky buggers try to update software to a trialware version (click cancel when it wants to update)
Summary
I was running out of space and didn't have my external drive with me. This app saved the day by allowing me to offload to the iPod. Works exactly as advertised - you can easily get files from or copy files to your iPod.
After using this app more, I take it back. It has serious stability problems and seems to truncate large files (larger than 1 gig.). If you copy a directory with a lot of files in it, it will error out on something and just stop, leaving you halfway through. Very annoying!

"Not useful for file transfers between computers"
Version: DiskAid 1.5
Pros
Lets you save files onto the iphone.
Its Free.Cons
To view the files you upload, you have to view them through DiskAid. Windows Explorer doesn't see any of the files you upload to the iPhone using DiskAid. (folder option were set to show hidden files)
