"Brilliant!"

Pros
Showed me EXACTLY what I needed to know in an amazing graphics display. My hard drive is full, so I needed to know what to move - Disk Inventory X 1.0 was free, easy to use and gave me all the information I needed. I am so happy right now. Have to go move 10,000 photos now! See ya!

Pros
Shows exactly what you have at a glance, can sort by size so you see the biggest things first, allows you to open folders, and even delete things right from the graphical window.
Cons
A little slow, even after it has read every file (which is obviously limited by your disk speed and how many files you have). It has crashed a few times, but rarely and does not hurt anything when it does.
Summary
If you have a hard drive close to capacity and do not know why, this tool is essential. I found files I forgot were there taking up 10s of GB of space.
Much quicker and easier than (for instance) du or Finder's Get Info. -

Pros
You can see the size of items, some of which you would have no idea could take so much space. It color codes them by file type. You can delete them from the interface. It has always worked flawlessly for me.
Cons
It shows things to you that you probably shouldn't mess with so be sure you know what you are doing.
Summary
Get it. It is the best way to clean out things that are big and taking space. It is fascinating to see what file types are taking up so much space.

this seems to be doing a better good at identifying junk than an automated type of cleaners. I have been looking for something to help me and because it gives you a visual representation of everything that makes those massive temp files etc.
