Version: Disk Doctors Digital Media Recovery 1.0
"Free to try?"
Pros: 1) The software looks like it can handle ipods, cameras and other drives for photo recovery...from what I could see on the menu options...
Cons: 1) The freezing drives me and my computer nuts. I never did manage to get those photographs recovered using this software.
Summary: It looks like this software can handle multiple disk types (i.e. thumb drive, ipod etc) from what I could gather form the menu options. I attempted to use this for my ipod and everything froze. The freezing happened also when trying to recover pictures from my camera.
2) You have to "buy without a try", for the most part (see below)
The trial or "free version" of the program is very limiting (if you can even get to the point of trying without the software freezing cold), and for a person, such as myself, who likes to know the software inside out (or least be able to try it out) before purchasing, this "limiting" is a problem.

-This software was tried on: a desktop, HP brand.
-Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium.
-Devices used during the testing: An ipod (nano: 3rd generation) and a digital camera (canon brand) memory card (1GB).
