"Costly but (almost) worth it."
Pros
One of the few file managers that combines the ease of use of Windows Explorer along with oodles of useful features like directory synchronization, file transfer protocol, multiple directories and more. This is the Cadillac of file managers.
Cons
The price is ridiculous. Especially if you consider that most of the features can be found in freeware albeit in separate programs.
Summary
Many 3rd party file management programs provide some of the features available with directory opus but there always seems to be something that makes you return to explorer. Directory Opus is like explorer on steroids. The features all work flawlessly across all platforms. I use it with XP, Vista and Windows 7 machines. I just think 78 dollars is a lot-a-tomatoes to fork over for what amounts to a fancy File manager. Cut the price in half and I'd give it 5 out of 5.
