"An opus"
Pros
The fourth Explorer replacement that I trialed was Directory Opus 8, D_Opus, or plain ol' dopus. An unusual name, but I tried dopus, then looked up "opus" in the Wikipedia, there could not be a more fitting name.
It is "Windows intuitive". An outstanding example of what can be done with the Windows GUI.
It co-exists with Explorer...run one, the other, or both at the same time.
It is easy to start using, but takes some study to take advantage of it's advanced features. I have only scratched the surface of it's capability, but it is doing all that I require at this time.
Only one example: one or two resizable display panes (with one or two folders trees), split horizontally or vertically and multiple tabs per pane with choices of fonts and colors. That is only the window dressing.
It has to be experienced to be fully appreciated......it is an..... opus.
At $67 U.S., perhaps higher priced than some, but it's five star rating is well deserved.
My two month free trial is up. I bought it.
