"The perfect utility"
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.9.16
Pros
It's so simple to use. Far better than JDirPrint that I used on XP but won't run on Vista. No clutter, yet configurable enough that you can print out as much or as little of the directory as you want.
Cons
It has nothing at all to complain about. As I said, it's perfect for my use.

"MS should've put this in the 1st OS and kept it there."
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.9.16
Pros
1) Does what it suggests it will and does it well.
2) Not a very limited options "trail" program.
3) Lots of options to play with.
4) Great "Help" files.
5) You'll be showing this one off!Cons
That I didn't find this one First!
Summary
If I had to pay for this program I would as it is much better than any of the others I have tried. I had given up hope of ever being able to list and print my files and folders without hours of frustration and sheet after sheet of wasted paper. Within 10 minutes of opening this program for the first time I had a printed sheet of exactly what I wanted.

"The Right Tool for the Job!!"
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.9.16
Pros
It's amazing how a little utility like this can make life SO much easier. I pointed out what directory I needed a listing from, and it was instantly there in front of me. WOW!! Do you know how long I've looked for something that could do this?
Cons
NONE. I have no complaints!
Summary
I've used several different utilities but this is the only one that could give me a directory TREE. It can also list files. There are lots of options. Thank you, thank you to this developer!!
I think it should be part of WIndows File Manager.
You don't even need to install it. It's a one file utility. I put a shortcut on my desktop, along with my other top favorite utilities. This is a flexible program, there are many options for output. I Highly recommend this little program! -
"From the country that brought us that cool army knife"
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.9.16
Pros
Easy to use, customizable, seamless exports, the procrastinator's friend
Cons
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Summary
Six years of uncatalogued CD back-ups - doubles and trip[les of those precious photos and life changing Word docs (why did I save that?) (four times?) I alt-tabbed over here 2 CD's into the project to toot Directory L&P's horn.
I'm saving my lists in Excel and the columns are laid out perfectly. Each click on Excel in the L&P gui opens a new instance, so copy to clipboard if you want to keep using the same Excel file. -
"Extremely easy and simple to use..."
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.9.16
Pros
Small program, very effective, a child could use it. No install needed, just drop the app in a folder.
Cons
None. This is a winner.
Summary
If you want to index your folder contents, you can't go wrong with this.

"Simple, easy to use, small, with customizable outputs"
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.3.9
Pros
Small size, simple. Easy to pick the directory to print. Show the directory and target output. Allows to choose among direct printing the listing, send it to the clipboard, to Word or Excel. Customizable lists. Nice designed screen. And it's FREE
Cons
None. It is clean of infections. Nice and simple
Summary
Windows doesn't have this Print Directory option available that was an option in MSDOS, and the only way they can create the list is using a batch file with a direct to printer only, without allowing any customization. This freeware application from Infonautics GmbH comes to fill this void in a very simple, but efficiently way.
The download and install process is smooth. The screen has only one window with a well balanced design, showing the directory tree in the top frame, how the output will look in the bottom left area, and the custom options in the right.
It allows to include (or not), the directory, files, date, time, size, and path; and it has four output options: to the clipboard, to the printer, to Word, or to Excel, so it's very convenient if you have a list of files you want to distribute or publish.
The use of blue as the basic color of the entire design is very pleasant to the eye. A very nice product, and FREEWARE.
I recommend Directory Print & List to everyone looking for a way to print a directory content -
"Perfect for my needs."
Version: Directory List & Print 1.9.3.9
Pros
A tiny, easy to use, fast, stand-alone utility that lists the contents of a chosen directory, easily copied to a document or spreadsheet as you require. Further details such as file size & file type can be added at the click of a button if wanted.
Cons
It is a little unsettling to find something so good & so simple to use.
