DigiDesign USD specifications

It is now possible to enable and disable the output of idle-time full-MIDI timecode (the MTC which is output from the 5-pin MTC output socket whenever no timecode is running.) This new preference setting is available on the USD front panel, as setup item "IdLE 7C", with a choice of On and Off. This preference is also controllable using the USD Setup utility program via the MTC Idle Mute checkbox (use Balloon Help to see details.)
Improved flash memory programming algorithm so that a wider selection of flash memory chip vendors are accomodated during manufacture.
Improved serial driver code in the embedded firmware, which results in more robust serial data transfer.
This version is built with an improved compiler compared to previous versions, resulting in smaller, faster microcontroller code.
