"Works good with 98, poor with NT"
Version: Diamond Multimedia Monster Sound MX300 Drivers 1.02 beta (2/11/99)
Summary
After reading the other persons comment about compatibility probs after upgrading (with the agp card) I tend to agree that this is what is causing my video lockups during certain programs, also one channel out now does not work in NT and it shows NT gave it IRQ 110?

"great sound especially with Monsoon speakers!"
Version: Diamond Multimedia Monster Sound MX300 Drivers 1.02 beta (2/11/99)
Summary
I like the fact that there is 2 plugs for extra speakers if you have stereo, etc. It's just the best sound card I could find, and I even shopped around for another since but I couldn't find anything nearly as good in comparison.

"Dosen't Work With Asus A7V MB"

"Becoming OUTDATED...anyone ave recent drivers?"
Version: Diamond Multimedia Monster Sound MX300 Drivers 1.02 beta (2/11/99)
Summary
I bought this almost a year ago and I liked it better than creative's 128 line sound cards. Hoever, I seem to be having compatibility issues recently after upgrading my system, expecially with UDMA66. They both seem to use the same IRQ for PCI (IRQ11) and this seems to cause fatal exception errors. Unless newer drivers become available (something Diamond is VERY poor at by the way) then i would suggest steering clear...getting the "newer" card if anything. got any sugg's? email me
