none The program just simply works and works well.

    Summary

Full featured Icon placement storage. Reliable, usefull and takes care of a major problem with windows that was overlooked by Microsoft in their software design.`

"Does what is asked & supposed to!"

    May 30, 2011  |   By DaDreamWizard

    Version: DesktopOK (64-bit) 2.55

    Pros

Positions your desktop Icons where you want, period. You set the standards, not Microsoft, not tradition, just you. Saves your layout, or multiple layouts at whatever resolution you use.

    Cons

    Haven't found any.

    Summary

There are two apps that perform this task that are 64bit. This is one of them. I don't rate one over the other, but at the current rate, and the attention this author is giving to DesktopOK, it will most likely 'pass' the other app in functionality. It offers everything & more at a size that is smaller then it's closest competitor in both 32 & 64bit versions.

That all by itself is a major feat of programming in today's over-sized apps. And it's 64bit version put no apparent 'byte' on the system or it's performance.

If your icons seem to drift, this is for you. If you want them to vanish and look at an open and clear desktop without the congestion but need those icons to be there when you want them, then this is more for you then you will ever know.

Try it. If you don't like it, delete it. No registry entries and mess to deal with. It's just to handy not to have. If you don't use it today, tomorrow's another day.

Try it, there's nothing not to like.

"Simple solution that should be built in"

    April 24, 2011  |   By wifal

    Version: DesktopOK (64-bit) 2.41

    Pros

Simple, no need to "install," flexible, intuitive, 32- and 64-bit versions

    Cons

.ini file it builds is not hidden (might be a pro for some)

    Summary

I've had none of the problems that a few others have noted; I use this on 3 desktops and 4 laptops, and it works flawlessly on all of them.

"A quick solution to an aggravating problem"

    April 16, 2011  |   By ibwaldo

    Version: DesktopOK (64-bit) 2.41

    Pros

DesktopOK realigns icon placement for what ever screen you're using. I use my laptop exclusively at my office I dock it to a USB hub and a 24" Samsung LCD. With a couple of mouse clicks I have the desktop icons where I want then for either screen.

    Cons

The text file with your saved desktop information opens when my computer starts along with the DesktopOK selection menu.

    Summary

It works, and saves a lot of time re-arranging your desktop icons every time you change monitors

"Doesn't work and can't get it off my laptop."

    March 23, 2011  |   By Tracie365

    Version: DesktopOK (64-bit) 2.37

    Pros

    None, right now.

    Cons

Doesn't work and can't get the 64-bit version removed from my laptop.

    Summary

Installed 64-bit version on my Toshiba laptop that comes with both 32 & 64-bit options for use. I installed it twice, it doesn't work, but now I can't remove the programs!!! I usually run on 32-bit, so I thought maybe I needed to try installing the version that doesn't say "64-bit version". It still installs as the 64-bit....which doesn't function. Now I have multiple copies of this on my laptop and can't remove ANY of them! VERY ANNOYED.
