"Great little Desktop Addition for XP Pro"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
Does just what I needed it to, which is to provide a Calendar to the Desktop. Navigation is easy, and the "Events" and "To Do" features are a plus.
Cons
None really.
Summary
Needed a Desktop Calendar for my XP Pro Work PC similar to the Vista Sidebar on my home PC. Of course, I would gladly replace Vista with XP Pro on my home PC if I only could (HP does NOT recommend 'downgrading' the OS - their words not mine). I can't even begin to explain what a total FUBAR Vista is. I would upgrade to W-7, but only if MS did the right thing and provide it to Vista users for free, with their sincerest apologies.

"DOESN"T support OUTLOOK"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros

Cons
it doesn't support outlook, what makes it all obsolete
Summary
can't imagine maintaining dedicated updated copy only for this program

"Did not like the tool."
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
I is free and uses a format common to several applications. It is independent of being logged into a mail account.
Cons
After being able to manage events in Works Calendar, I accidentally deleted all of my events. There is no way to "dismiss" an event once it has occurred. I am going to try a different tool. I do not like the available features.
Summary
Did not like the inability of eliminating just one event easily from the list of events.

"Smooth, but not much more than a simple gadget"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
iCalendar is a simple calendar for personal use. It puts on your desktop a calendar for the current month, events for the current and next two days, and a to-do list. Events and to-do items have options such as Status, notes, and due date.
Cons
It only sets dates for events or to-do items, not times. To-do items list in the order created, not in order of due dates or order of priority. Setting the sound for a reminder, it only displayed "WAV##" files (where ## = Japanese characters).
Summary
iCalendar is perfect for people with simple schedules and people who still seek the Any key.
Anybody who can find this review, however, should look elsewhere. The program needs to define time down to the minute rather than to the day to work as a daily planner. It also needs to allow segregating to-do items by date and sorting them by priority to work as a time management aid.
This is NOT "professional" grade. I would give it more stars were it in the Desktop Calendar category, but not in the Time Management category. The reviewers who sing its praises are not doing anybody any favors. -

"Calendar at your finger tips, PROFESSIONAL SOFTWARE"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
easy to down load, easy to install, easy to use. Nice interface. Nice that this program is free not a lot in life is free any more. I like how I can if I choose to move it around, use just the calendar, or use notes and calendar both.
Cons
The to do and reminder option should have been together. Be nice to change colors from calendar and to do and reminder option different if wanted.
Summary
Want or need a calendar in front of you or at your finger tips this one works well. Clean of ad's, easy of use. Nice interface nice to choose skin color schemes. I like mine clear. The nice highlighting of the day it is on the calendar is really nice no looking close or searching or trying to remember if today is Tuesday or Wednesday.

"not enough time to eval"
Version: Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.9.3
Pros
I like it on my desktop rather than on my home page
Cons
Not as many alternatives to reminding and scheduling.
Summary
I have not used it long enough to do a deep analysis
