    Version: Desktop Renamer 1

    "Pointless"

    by CheeseKing on January 16, 2008

    Pros: There's a much less CPU hogging way to rename your recycle bin. Just open a blank .txt file and inside it copy this information:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder]

    "Attributes"=hex:50,01,00,20

    "CallForAttributes"=dword:00000000

    Name the file whatever you like, followed by .reg and save it. (example: Rename Recycle Bin.reg) then double click it. Windows will ask you if you want to add this file to your registry. Click yes. Now you can delete the file you just made. Now right click your Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and you'll have the "rename" option in the context menu. Please note that this works on Windows XP Service Pack 2. I don't know if this'll work on other versions of Windows or not.
