Free.. works where others won't! Eliminated me using 2 monitors on Win XP for some things.

"Works With Windows 7"
Version: DeskPins 1.30
Pros
Easy to use, Free, convenient, Great for my use: transferring numbers from a jpeg image and typing into excel, and keeping the jpeg window on top. Saves me tons of time. Even has shortcut keys..
Also, it works with Windows 7 (I use it)Cons
None that I can think of.
Summary
Why doesn't Win7 come with something like this by default??

"No Push Pin Icon in the Tray"
Version: DeskPins 1.30
Pros
None since it did not work for me.
Cons
The "push pin" icon did not appear in the tray after installation.
Summary
After unzipping the file there were other programs offered along w/t Deskpin. I opted for only the Deskpin and installed but the push pin icon was not visible in the tray. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the programs offered. Again, the push pin was not available. The program is useless without the push pin. My OS is Vista, 32 bit.

"Fantastic !"
Version: DeskPins 1.30
Pros
I love this little program. I tried "Always on Top" and didn't like it. This is a no brainer. Quick, easy.
If you want to see something under the pinned window you can drag it out of the way. It's like the developer read my mind. Love It!Cons
There are no con's that i found

""Always On Top""
Version: DeskPins 1.30
Pros
Allows fixed stacking of any application windows, like how some applications have an "always-on-top" funtionality.
Cons
None - DeskPins is a simple utility that does a useful thing very nicely.
Summary
It is a shame Microsoft hasn't embedded this little utility in Windows. If you are ever in the situation of using two or more applications at once but the normal tiling or <alt-tab> switching is bothersome then this utility is a lifesaver.
For example, do you ever want calculator on top of a document or webpage as you work on a project? Ever want Explorer open to a file directory and when you open files to stay on top? I find myself using DeskPins several times each week, and occasionally it has been a huge timesaver. -
"Deskpins does exactly what it is intended to do"
Version: DeskPins 1.30
Pros
Allows you to keep a program on top of another, allowing you to watch a movie while searching the web. It is easily shut down by clicking the thumbtack on the program you have pinned. This is the most innovative software for it's intended purpose.
Cons
To be honest I can't complain. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that this program should have the option of setting a hotkey to it, that way I wouldn't have to click the taskbar in order to get the program going.
Summary
The bottom line is if you want to be able to watch a video while doing other things, or even play a full screen game while keeping an eye on another program, this is the product for you. It is a small installation, and runs convieniently from your taskbar, which can then be customized to your own liking. I give this software a 5/5 because it has one purpose, and it delivers the intended purpose perfectly. Anyone who likes to multitask on the computer (And who doesn't?) needs this program, as it is too much of a gain to pass by.
