tried demo; i had some files named [92] and similar. This is exactly what the description says it should be able to delete. The bracket symbol is an illegal symbol for file names. Would not delete.

Easy to use--deletes files that just won't go away the normal ways.
The developer now offers more recent pay versions with other options, and a trial version limited to 5 deletes. The version here, while older, is not so limited. Great to keep.Cons
None--if you want more options (folder delete, file renaming, etc.), get one of the pay versions. Otherwise, the older, free version here is great to keep around for those occasional pesky files.
Summary
Also, note: program works just fine on more recent operating systems, up through Windows 7 64-bit--no need to set compatibility mode.
