Publisher's description of DeepBurner 1.7.1.2
From Astonsoft:DeepBurner is an advanced and powerful CD and DVD burning package. It removes the hassle of making CDs, DVDs, and auto runs. DeepBurner supports a wide range of internal and external (USB 2.0 and FireWire) CD and DVD writers. Burn any data, copy any disc, make backups, and make ISO CDs with this very easy to handle software. Added: save as dialog for saving DBR files, width of the tree-view parts of windows is now being remembered. Improved: session selection dialog now shows all sessions without horizontal scroll bars. Fixed: horizontal scrollbars appearing in the message window when they aren't suppose to, vertical scrolling in the message window now shows the latest events last when minimizing, bug with reappearing elements in the Tools menu, disappearing font attributes in the Print Label feature, bug when CD label remained unchanged after loafing of previously saved DBR files with different CD label info. Version 1.7.1.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: DeepBurner 1.7.1.2
Pros: It has a tiny footprint, which is ideal if you want a clean and simple program that will work on old as well as new hardware. Interface isn't anything special but it's economical, intuitive and easy to use. It's absolutely excellent for a free program - burns audio and data CDs/DVDs, and will also burn ISO images. I haven't tried, but I think you can also create bootable CDs with it. Clean and simple, and quick to use.
Although the CNET review suggests DeepBurner doesn't support buffer-underrun prevention, according to the logs on my machine, it actually does. It doesn't ask - it just enables it if it's there (and why would you want to disable that feature anyway...?).
To top it off, it's stable and works. My machine came with Nero, which consistently burnt corrupt disks. I then uninstalled it and tried Roxio. That made Windows XP unstable and would BSOD frequently. I then tried DeepBurner and it just worked. Unless some clever soul ever ports K3B and its dependancies to Windows, this will be the best Windows CD-burning software around.
Cons: Detection of the CD-writer and its recording speeds are re-done every time you select another CD-drive or bring up the list of recording speeds, causing the user to think that the program has hung, until it works about 5 seconds later.

Version: DeepBurner 1.7.1.2
Pros: drag and drop to create ISO's or burn files
Cons: Kinda difficult to use. I had to follow the instructions from the help file to figure it out... Not very intuitive.
Does let you create ISO files, but it is not a CD Duplicate. All it does is copy the folders on the CD rather that duplicating the actual CD.

Version: DeepBurner 1.7.1.2
"Just what I was looking for!"
Pros: I couldn't find a shareware burner that allowed me to import a bunch of audio files and then move them around to change the order. Plus, it tells you the running time of each track, which I really need for my work. Above all else, it loaded right in and worked perfectly from the get-go. Love it!

Pros: Easiest one to use that I've tried, so far. Including ones I've paid for. It's fast and simply.

Version: DeepBurner 1.7.1.2
"Simple, polished interface, fast, works great."
Pros: Works flawlessly with dual Xeon CPU's running 64 bit Windows XP. OEM version of Nero 6 Ultra wouldn't. Drive was SONY DRU-810A.
Cons: None so far.
