"Dont waste your time"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
Not a thing
Cons
Turned two blank DVD's into useless coasters. It burned 12 minutes of a 2:15 minute movie twice.
Summary
Need I say more? Again, dont waste your time and more importantly dont waste your blank media.

"Beware of backdoor trojan in deepburner"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
Free. Only used it once or twice and didn't note any problems. I have other burners that I prefer.
Cons
Emisoft Anti-Malware (paid version) found a trojan in program: Backdoor.Win32.TRCNITE.PL!A2 and quarantined it so hopefully it is gone.
Summary
Don't like malware of any kind, especially secretly added as this was. The vague ad warning was buried in the EULA fine print.

"Don't Bother!"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
Free but it doesn't work properly.
Cons
DVD's created with this software failed to work on both my Pioneer DVD and Sony Blu Ray player (which is DVD Compatible). Cannot un-install the program as the uninstall.exe file is missing.
Summary
Does not write video DVD's and will not un-install. Keep Away!

"Easy and useful"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
It is simple for use and it doesn't burden the PC.
Cons
When I add more folders it doesn't remember the last place I have been and it always starts with My Computer tree for every next folder I wanna add.

"Fantastic! Does a wonderful job with a small footprint."
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
DeepBurner works well, contains no spyware, is free and has a small footprint; the antithesis of modern 'freeware'! The price to purchase is also quite reasonable for such a nice little program.
Cons
DeepBurner doesn't use .CUE sheets, nor does it support special purpose packet writing or offsets. If you simply want to burn data / back up or make DVD movies, then DeepBurner works great! If need something more complex, look for Disc Juggler.
Summary
The bottom line is that the folks who created DeepBurner have delivered a very solid shareware / freeware program! If you have basic needs (like most of the interwebers), such as creating DVDs, audio / MP3 CDs, backing up data or burning .ISOs, then DeepBurner will be a choice tool. What makes it even more attractive, is that it has a straight interface / user experience!
I've used this program for a few years, and always install it one of the first applications after an OS upgrade.
RE: To those who are having difficulty with getting it to properly create movies.. you might have better luck finding a nice 3rd party tool to create the menu interface, and then burn those generated files - as well as the recoded video files - with DeepBurner after that. I've never once had difficulty with burning a project which I had mastered in DeepBurner, or with another application. :) -
"Great free burner"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
Burns everything well. Simple, intuitive interface.
Cons
No Cons noted so far.
Summary
I don't know why there's a price listed on a free version of this burner. So far, it seems to be really free, no nag screens, no limitations. Burns everything well. Works perfectly in a 64-bit Vista.

"A very reliable CD/DVD burner"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
I had a problem when I was not able to burn a CDs, but now this same device (on another computer and another Windows XP installation) works again, though only with DeepBurner.
Cons
No cons, maybe only a bit complicated user interface.
Summary
DeepBurner Free is a reliable CD/DVD burning program. Although it's not that intuitive (its GUI), it's relatively easy-to-use anyway. Previously I was using Cheetah CD Burner (and Cheetah DVD Burner) for years, but then I had a problem when I was not able to burn a CD with either of these (DeepBurner support guy told me that it was apparently my OS's fault, i.e. obviously a broken Windows installation), and now this same device (the same CD/DVD drive, that I now use on another computer and another Windows XP Pro installation) works again, though curiously only with DeepBurner and not with Cheetah CD/DVD Burner (which is by the way even not free; back then I got a registration code/key for free because I've put a link to the Cheetah Websites Corporation website on my own website).

"Impossible to uninstall"
Version: DeepBurner Free 1.9.0.228
Pros
Can burn ISO images and create CD/DVD. Simple interface for beginners.
Cons
You cannot uninstall this program. Not even Windows add/remove can uninstall it. I would be ok with this program if uninstall was not an issue. Version 1.9.0.228 downloaded on cnet aug 4 2009
Summary
I'm not sure why this program gets downloaded so much on Filehippo. I'd recommend CDBurner XP - which not only creates CD/DVD but can also copy CD and DVD. ImgBurn is also good but it does not duplicate Cd/DVD either.
