Version: DeepBurner Free Portable 1.6
Pros: altough it has no buffer under run protection, i haven't lost any disc burning with this soft. great alternative, even to nero, only for burning plain data cd's tough. you don'nt even need to install a thing and slow down wondows registry. you can create your own autorun cd's with just a few clicks and customize their aspect. easily erases rewritables DVD's or CD's. best of all, it's free.
Cons: it lacks support for extended joliet file format, so it'll cut files names for fitting.

Pros: It's free and it works. Automatically detects your writer and writes just fine. I have not lost a disk so far.
Cons: Confusing interface, not user friendly, basic function buttons like data disk copy, music disk copy or mixed disk copy. Interface is divided into three sections. Don't know if screen gets redrawn in the paid version.
Summary: Goof basic burner but little difficult to get around.
