Version: Debut Video Recording Software 1.42
"Free! - and it works as it should"
Pros: Once one has figured out how to get the sound working and how to choose the part of the screen one wants to capture, this software works well.
.Cons: I haven't been able to pause the program to skip parts I don't want to record. In addition, there isn't much in the way of helpful instructions - but, hey, how much can one expect for free?
Summary: It took me several attempts using a Horowitz Chopin concerto on YouTube to get the kinks worked out, but once everything was set as it should be, the end result was great. The sound coordinated perfectly with the movement of his hands. I suggest that... read more

Pros: Easy to install, easy to use, and great results. I don't know why it didn't come packaged with my webcam.
Cons: Bare bones, basic free app. No bells and whistles. Just does the job, but does it well.
Summary: Very intuitive. Has six icons and a help button. Capture Screen, Capture device, take a snapshot, Tool box, and a list of recordings. I wasn't looking for an app that would record my desktop, but Wow! read more

"The best in freeware Video recorder"
Pros: FREE!!!! and also good video quality, many output formats, screen or video device capture options. Good program. Easy to use as well.. Stable-Everything you wish for in a screen captture software(i have tried other software but was not satisfied)
Cons: Not suitable for fast motion screen recording, Sound quality is a bit of a let down (you can use your windows sound recorder instead)
Summary: Excellent for non-fast motion screen capture andnon-high quality sound. This is the best recomended software this side of freeware read more

"Its free but SLOWED AND FROZE all my comp!"
Pros: Its free and i cant tell if it works
Cons: It may be my comp but it slowed my comp and froze everything so bad. all my ram and cpu was all pushing 100% ***!

Version: Debut Video Recording Software 1.42
Pros: Spyware-free, relatively small in file size, slick design, runs smooth, supports many file types, SO simple to use, output file retains decent quality, sound is no problem with a little tinkering, just awesome!!
Cons: Not very fond of the direct install thru the publisher's website; it deposits some links to its website on your start menu (which you can quickly delete). Annoying (but safe though).
Summary: My con is mere piffle; this software is just an amazing FREE tool and I recommend it HIGHLY!! read more
