Version: DebugMode Wax 2.0e
"Lots and lots and lots of video editing options!"
Pros: There seems to be every option you'd ever want when editing your video.
The user guide in the program's Help menu is very comprehensive (with picture help as well).
Cons: Here's a warning; don't go clicking everywhere and trying to do twenty things at once; because the program will get errors and close (without saving) if you do certain combinations with your mouse (like clicking around and changing options while previewing the video, etc.).
However, if you are a person that likes to see things get fixed; then you will be happy; because the author gives you the chance to email him any errors from the program (good ol' Kumar << author's last name :P planted on everything).

Pros: A professional 2D and 3D FX unit for free, what more do you want, you can use it as a standalone program or as a plug-in for many advanced video editing suites.
Cons: none.
beginners just take your time to learn how to use it, its brilliant.

Pros: Not exactly for the novice, but who wants easy to use anyway?
Awesome featureset.
Cons: Pay no attention to guamdude.
He left his brain in guam, apparently, and doesn't know much about 'software' as they call it.
