"Who knows?"
Version: Data Recovery 2.3.1
Pros
Easy and fast to set up.
Cons
I needed to retrieve a deleted file from a Digital Secure card. It would not recognize my camera as a lettered drive of any kind. It will only retrieve deleted data on a card if you have a car reader installed as a drive.
Summary
All in all this program could not assist me. So I can't say if it worked or not. Too bad it needed a specific drive letter to work with.

"Thought all pics were gone, so this is a lifesaver!"
Version: Data Recovery 2.3.1
Pros
Data Recovery was fairly simple and easy to use. When I realized that I had hit "delete all" on the camera, I nearly broke down in tears. It helped me recover the majority of the pictures from our trip to Montana. Although it didn't recover all of them, it made me extremely happy to have most of them back.
Cons
Frustratingly slow, but since I didn't have to pay any money to recover my pics from our trip to Montana, I dealt with how long it took. Some pictures came back with part of the pic missing, while others couldn't be recovered at all. I think I was able to recover about 90% of the pictures.
Summary
Overall, this program recovered many pics that I didn't think I would get back. It was very slow and would ask me to "overwrite" pics quite often, but it eventually worked.

"Worked with some problems"
Version: Data Recovery 2.3.1
Pros
No installation required
Very small
Easy to use
File name filterCons
Search seems to take forever (can be stopped though)
Search results seem to repeat forever (sd card)
Very slow recovery process (at least for big files)Summary
The search (sd card) didn't stop and it kept adding files to the result list, though they already had been found (same name, date, size, etc., maybe a bug).
If you want to search for a specific file you accidently deleted, this program will work perfectly for you. If you search for all deleted files, you really need a lot of patience.
However, the recovery was successful. -
"Worked for deleted files from my Flip video camera!"
Version: Data Recovery 2.3.1
Pros
Worked to delete 14 of 15 videos my 4 year old accidentially deleted from my Flip video camera. First I tried UndeleteMyFiles, but it said it couldn't work with FAT32 files. But this one did it, for free! (I gave a donation via the website.)
Cons
The 15th one wouldn't play. Oh well.
Summary
Yippee!

"Useless Crapware."
Version: Data Recovery 2.3.1
Pros
Nothing, this is a waste of time.
Cons
When I ran Data Recover, I selected the F drive, which is in a hard drive case, connected with a usb cable, a message pops up that reads - Now loading MFT. What does MFT mean?--------------- -------------------------------------

"It worked!"
Version: Data Recovery 2.3.1
Pros
Can search by part of filename.
Cons
Keep getting an error message near the end.
Seems to take forever to finish.Summary
I accidentally deleted some pictures on my phone late last night, and came here to download this the moment I woke up.
I love that I can search by part of filename, and with my phone's camera saving the pictures with the date, it narrowed down the search a lot for the program.
Still, I can leave it on for more than 30 minutes and the progress bar still shows about 60% complete, and doesn't seem to increase much more. That could be the fault of my phone as it keeps changing files around without my knowledge. But there seems to be at least 1600 files deleted with filename including 30102011 (and none with filename 29102011)
Anyway, you can always cancel the search at any time you think your files have been found. Select the files you want and click recovery.
I have my files back, and I'm very happy. -
