Version: Data Recovery - NTFS 2.0.1.5
"So many others, I've saved you the time with this one."
Cons: Very basic GUI - 'Start' and 'Stop'. No search options or filters. It found all active files and (mostly empty) deleted files. Can't preview - or save - files found. So much for the "no limitation" trial as stated in download.com. Pretty much useless program, but hey, if you can put out a useless product and make money, why not. Gives us all more junk to wade through. Apparently I have to give it 1 star for the review to be "complete".

"Program stops dead in its tracks; support non-existent."
Pros: Looks like an easy to use GUI.
Cons: Purchase at your own risk. Although it purports to detect all the files on a crashed drive, trying to get the recovery function to engage is impossible. Help files are useless. The program hangs up at the same point each time, and the only support is either by email (to which they never respond) or an overseas toll call to India, which I refuse to make. I'm still searching for a viable program to recover the files from a crashed hard drive. Any real program recommendations are welcome.

Pros: Not a single Pro to this software.
Cons: 1-14-07 I bought this software. I ended up having to buy and use someone elses software. This program is really slow, very buggy, and I never got it to work. I have asked for a refund 3 times now and have not gotten a responce. I do not recomend using this and suggest the admin remove it off this site. I do recommed however using Stellar Phoenix NTFS. I used it and it took about 15 mins to get my stuff back and on to another from of media. It cost more but well worth it if you don't want to waist your weekend like I had to.

Cons: This software is a waste of TIME and MONEY. The demo has plenty of limitations. What a rip off!!!

Pros: If you are lucky, this software may actually work for you!
Cons: Software is unfinished. Many crashes. Ugly GUI. Help file is almost empty. Only works when user account control in Vista is turned off, but error message does not always tell you. Scan hangs for no reason with no recovery.No clear error messages.
Summary: The software partially works, and if you bang your head against a wall for three days like I did, you can get it to work. But why? There are better alternatives: QueTek or R-Studio for example. Look at the history of comments on this software. Al... read more
