"simple, to the point, and free"
Version: Dashboard Manager 1.2
Pros
does just what it claims to do, and prevents inadvertant sapping of computing power.
Cons
a bit awkward to open it up each time you want to use it. a simple addition of a keystroke or a menu icon for one step usage might make it perfect.

"Eats up CPU usage when disabling Dashboard"
Version: Dashboard Manager 1.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I notice that after opening dashboard it brings up telnet in Activity Monitor; when I disable Dashboard using this utility, telnet's CPU usage jumps to about 92% and my CPU temp stays around 171 F. If I quit the telnet process under Activity Monitor everything is quiet again. I never noticed this until I tried Dashboard Manager. -

"Dock popping"
Version: Dashboard Manager 1.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This seems to work fine except for one annoying problem. I often store open e-mail messages in my dock (by clicking on the yellow minus sign on the message). When I use Dashboard Manager, it pops those e-mails back onto the screen, and I have to stash them away again in the dock. This is a minor problem because I don't use the Dashboard very often and usually leave it disabled.
