    Pros

Different view of dashboards is very unique about this product

    Cons

An user guide for customisation of the reports needs to be released

    Summary

I like this tool very much and would love to use it, however i am finding it difficult to add my data and create reports since im not sure how this works, im very new to access so im taking time to understand this.
It would be great if any of you would be able to help me custome my data and generate the reports accordingly.

    Looking forward for a response.

"Instant analysis of key business data from SQL Server"

    June 15, 2009  |   By wolfultz

Version: Dashboard Builder for Microsoft Access 2.2

    Pros

Relatively easy for beginners trying to become familiar with dashboards and kpi's yet powerful enough for "heavy lifting". I began with v1.7 and I have watched the product grow. The support is exceptional - a true give and take of ideas and code.

    Cons

Early releases of Access 2007 can run into some bugs, but the support is there to identify and resolve them.

    Summary

I like the product not only because it offers functionality that I need, but because the support is truly amazing. For example, I had a large need to filter the data that drove a meter and I wanted the value of the filter to be visible on the meter. I expressed this to the support staff and they sent me the VB code to make that happen. That was awesome! Another good thing about the product is that there are always new - USEFUL - features introduced in the newer versions. For instance, once you deliver a meter to a manager, their next request is to be able to drill down into the data represented in the meter. Well - the newest version of Dashboard Builder provides this ability. This tells me that the authors of the product are listening to realworld feedback and incorporating suggestions in the product.

"Fantastic tool that is ready to run out of the box."

    June 7, 2009  |   By dgrous

Version: Dashboard Builder for Microsoft Access 2.2

    Pros

Instructions are short, clear & to the point. Great examples to see and gain ideas from. Plug in your own data, make some modifications; you have a truly great looking & funcational database. If VBA code is a problem for you no worry now, none used.

    Cons

When using MS Access 2007 had some problems with forms, but easy to over come & fix. Learn where a potiential problem might popup and be prepared to work around it.

    Summary

The graphical charts and meters make the database stand out to where you can really capture someone's attention. It is like everyday life, if something is appealing then that generates interest and then more people want to see it and know more about it. An example that I had experience with regarding a database that had charts and meters in it. When making a presentation one everning out of the rear of the room came this comment "I didn't know you could do that with Access." Oh yes you can and much more, Iet me give you an email address so you can go thtere & see for yourself.

"Very easy to configure and use"

    June 1, 2009  |   By steve_cook

Version: Dashboard Builder for Microsoft Access 2.2

    Pros

Ease of use to setup. Just setup your own Access queries and then load them into the relevant matrix. Plenty of examples to show how to configure. Value for money.

    Cons

Updating to Access 2007 does not work correctly - followed the instructions in the user manual but the continuous forms view only shows one line (reduces the size of the form)

    Summary

I found the product to give me everything I wanted in a dashboard. I re-configured the setup to show six meters and no groups. I like the refresh which allows the dashboard to be almost real time. I added code to show the Access session minimised which then only shows the form on the desktop. I didn?t really find anything that was bad about the product.
