Version: Das Unit Converter 6.01
"Represents an Improvement"
Pros: There's a number of free utilities available which convert units of measurement. This one improves on earlier such programs with minor improvements.
Cons: Currency conversion tables are a download rather than using a direct on-line conversion. So the accuracy is only as good as how recently you D/L'ed the currency file.
Summary: Adds a button for the Microsoft Windows calculator applet. Has it's own note-taking applet. More impressive, it saves a history of prior conversions you've done. Shows abbreviations for measurement units (e.g., grain = gr.).
Overall, there's a number of relatively minor improvements over older conversion applications like Converber and ESB Unit Conversion (both also freeware).
