This is the DVD extraction tool for Pros and all editors. It works and looks like an editor app, not a toy. If you can edit you can use this.

This is easy to use, and specific to my needs as a video editor. The output file is edit ready and of great quality. It has saved my neck plenty of times when the only master I had was on DVD. Not mention the support. Apple is constantly changing their software. When I upgraded my computer to an intel mac and had to move my programs, they still honored my purchase and swiftly responded to my help request even though I initially purchased the program 3 years prior. I give DVDxDV Pro 2 thumbs up, plus 2 big toes. It is an indispensable tool in my Video Arsenal. -

Great product and superb support team.
DVDxDVPro is a must have software period, it's solid, simple to use and the results are extraordinary. In over three years I have never had an issue and it's an essential tool in my production flow.
I am amazed at the level of service of their email support team and the company, something you dont see very often nowadays, thank you guys (btw my issue was losing my software and key and on saturday!).
I will definitely try the Veescope apps and plug-ins -

"Very good product, Very good support"
Version: DVDxDV Pro 1.09.19

It does what it says it does, very well. I came back to using the Pro version after a year long period, updated to the new version on my newer Mac laptop and am very pleased. the support has been terrific and now there are videos on their website which fill in the holes of my understanding of the product from before. I recommend this product strongly to my friends and clients. -
"Great Product, use it in production"

I have a small post house and we use this as one of our go-to tools when a client gives us a DVD to pull footage off of. It's fast and the video it turns out is as good as the original DVD. With the pro options we can now select chapters that we want and just encode those, or grab the entire disk.
If you're a video pro, this is a must have in your bag of tricks. -
"Great software!"
Version: DVDxDV Pro 1.088
Summary

I've used the "regular" version of this software for years and loved it. I finally upgraded to the pro version a couple weeks ago. It's very easy to use. I just select my DVD, choose my output options, and let it run while I'm working on other projects. It couldn't be simpler. When I had problems getting it to take my key code (v 1.088), tech support responded to my e-mail right away and solved my problem. -
"Excellent Capture Solution"
Version: DVDxDV Pro 1.085
Summary

I have been using DVDxDV for about 3 years now and would like to share my delight with this software with any potential new users.
Do not confuse this software with RIP software, it will not de-encrypt commercial DVDs. This is not the point of this software.
It is designed for the modern production environment, which increasingly sees material being delivered to composers and sound editors (etc) on (non-encrypted) DVDs - rather than Beta SP or Betacam, as was the form in previous years.
DVDxDV Pro will transparently transcode the entire contents of a DVD into any format possible via your Quicktime setup. However, for simplicity, it defaults to DV (for Final Cut Pro et al). Further, you can ask it to split audio off into separate files for later use.
It does this as fast as your machine can do it - ie faster than a realtime capture via DVD player and Capture hardware - the expensive slow alternative.
You might think I am en employee of this company - I am NOT! I am just so delighted that I am willing to spend this time writing this on their behalf.
Other features: select a capture range (so you can select a scene etc to capture), de-interlace is also available to avoid a whole step (and HD space) in FCP if your source material is interlaced (often the case from an Avid playout), 16 and 24 bit audio rendering, and more.
For the fast moving environment of a Composition Studio like mine, it is indespensible. It's a point and shoot solution to DVD capture challanges that has rarely failed.
In the case where I have asked for technical support - I have had immediate and complete answers to my problems in all cases. I even received a concerned call from California on one ocassion - whilst they were still learning about how their software was being implemented in the field.
Download it, check it out, pay for it if you like it. These guys rock.

"What a great product"
Version: DVDxDV Pro 1.085
Summary

I work in broadcast and to have tool that can rip a dvd that quickly and straight to broadcast formats is great. We mainly work in IMX and it saves us a lot of time not having to re-render files in FCP. All of our editors are using DVDxDV Pro and the amount of time it saves them is amazing. Besides it's a lot cheaper than our MD800 SDI DVDrecoders.
Great tool
