"Kills My Computer"
Version: DVDRemaster 7.1.4
Pros
I think the interface is great and if I could manage to get any output, I might like that too.
Cons
Causes my computer to do an auto shut down any time I try to do an export. I suspect that it corrupts the memory cache, but I am not certain that this is what is happening.

"Excellent_One Feature Request"

This is the BEST program for many uses. You can compress at high quality many video's into a single DVD. (Well Roxio took features out of the latest TOAST so you will need older versions). You can extract VTS Titkes. My feature request is an ability to more easily know which is the real Title set among the Fake/dummie Title sets under some of the latest Arcoss Protection - for example Transformers 2 had 99 Fake Title sets - DVD Remaster needs to help us determine which one is the REAL one! Great Product! -

"The Best"

This is such amazing software. It's also worth it to get the Pro version since you can do a lot more with it.
Nothing is better for encoding your iPod and/or AppleTV movies. Subtitles, different languages, removal of black bars, extraction of subtitles or the audio. plus it reencodes for DVDs and burns. It's easy, flexible, and stunning. Highly recommend it. -
"Bravo, et Merci!"

I have been using DVDRemaster Pro for almost three years and have been very happy with it. It does exactly what I need it to do: it compresses large DVDs into files that are small enough to burn onto a single-layer DVD (the only capability I have with my burner). It's also handy that it can burn smaller VIDEO-TS folders (that don't need compression). The quality is good, and DVDRemaster allows me to keep the "extras" on the disk as well (special features, etc.) I have found that I can answer most of my technical questions by calming down and reading the "Help" support pages carefully. However, there have been 3 or 4 times that I needed additional assistance, and I found that the developers were usually quick to respond to email questions AND were very patient and courteous as well. This program has been able to meet my needs for a long time, and I regard it as an excellent purchase and an indispensable tool. I recommend it highly. Thanks! -

Hi.
I'm a long time DVDRemaster user and wanted to let my impressions about the software and the support that Metakine gives.
As as European whose main language is not English I really need a good app to convert movies to use on my iPod that allows me to add subtitles.
I know there are other options there, either for DVD 9 -> DVD 4 as also to iPod (from freeware like Handbrake to shareware like Popcorn or DVD2One).
But I believe that for an app to be complete and good in what it does it doesn't have to need a cumbersome GUI.
And so far the only one that does almost all that I need and has a nice and usable GUI is DVDRemaster.
(Handbrake GUI is a lote more confusing and Popcorn with all Roxio's powâ?¬r is incapable of properly add a subtitle option).
If from times to times I found a problem with it? sure, what app doesn't have them?
The diference is that Metakine's costumer support is really good and they always listem to what I (a costumer) have to say, even if it's just a small detail.
Overall I could not be happier with it, that why I bought version 3.x and gladly paid for the 4.x update once it came out .
(I'm not in any way related with Metakine or DVDRemaster, except as a costumer. But If I'm the 1st one to complain with apps or companies that fail to deliver why they promise, I think that I should also praise the ones that do a good job)
