"Credit where it's due."
Version: DVD-lab Pro 2.51
Pros
Just what I wanted.
Cons
It's easy to use when you know how but you need to read the basic instructions first.
Summary
I was able to burn myself a dvd out of 5 seperate VTS/.vob files, complete with a main menu and sub menus and without losing any quality whatsoever. Even my dvd editor had been unable to do it successfully. It can also merge .vobs and has many other good authoring features.

"great sophisticated DVD authoring software"
Version: DVD-lab Pro 2.51
Pros
lots of freedom, complete control over end result
Cons
takes a bit of getting used to
Summary
I've tried multiple DVD authoring software programs, and DVD lab Pro is by far my favorite. I know that a lot of beginners seem to dislike this program because it doesn't have a step-by-step guide or hold your hand through the authoring process. But that's what I like so much about it! With other programs, I feel constrained by the narrow limitations. DVD lab Pro on the other hand just sets you free and lets you experiment as much as you want. I was a complete noob when I started DVD lab Pro; yes, in the beginning it was confusing and took some getting used to. There was a lot of trial and error. But that's what I enjoy, seeing what works and what doesn't.
In short, if you like lots of freedom and independence in authoring DVDs, then this is the program for you. -

"Decent Program."
Version: DVD-lab Pro 2.51
Pros
You have control over all the Menu Items. You can create the Menus exactly the way you want them. That's what I liked about Ulead DVDMaker.
Cons
Takes a bit of getting used too. Limited Video Files support. Would not use AVI files. Photo on C-Net shows Mpg files being used.
Summary
This app looks to be what is needed for complete Control over the DVD's menu system. This app definately provides that control. Easy to Import the content but the app would not let me use AVI files. That alone has made me hesitant to keep using it. Why would anyone want to convert their AVI files just to use this program?
