Editors' Review
Trying to capture decent photo stills when taking screenshots from DVDs is almost impossible. Fortunately, DVD Snap for Mac allows you to quickly and easily snap usable still photos from DVD video footage.
DVD Snap for Mac is a quick and efficient way to take usable screen captures from video but is limited to files located on DVD discs. The program's interface is uncluttered and easy to use. It even includes start and pause buttons for the video footage so you don't have to keep switching to the DVD player program. You can choose between taking individual captures and setting continual captures. You can set the continual captures for whatever frequency you want. The screen captures are held in the interface for preview before saving as PDF files. The trial version is a fully functioning demo but it does place watermarks on all screen captures. The full version of this program costs $14.95.
DVD Snap for Mac is a simple and quick program that allows you to take quality screen captures from video files on DVD discs. This program is only useful for trying out the features of the full program and is not really appropriate for anyone who wants to use the screen captures, due to the watermark. The features and functions available in this program would suit both personal and professional use in the full version.
Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of DVD Snap for Mac 3.1.1.
