Version: DFX for Windows Media Player 7.255
"Really Enhances Sound. But Too Much Nag In Demo Version."
Pros: I Downloaded and Installed the DFX 7.5 version which is available in the website. I got a link from the Plugin section of my Windows Media Player.
The Sound is definately much better.
Worth trying this Plugin.
Atleast we can know what we are missing in our WMP.
Cons: The Plugin Screen shows up when you play any MP3 in WMP.
It stays ON-TOP of WMP. If you have a Remote Control to switch songs or change Volume, you have to Minimize both WMP and DFX screens. Only then can you use a Remote Control. Otherwise even with DFX minimized, as soon as you go to the next song, the DFX screen Pops-Up and you cannot operate the Remote Control.
It has a bunch of Switches. The sound is great default but if you try to increase the settings a Nag-Screen shows up asking you to pay for the Full Version.
There are 2 choices in the Nag-Screen: OK or Order. I had to click on OK to close the Nag-Screen.
You cannot even switch to the Headphone option.
The Nag-Screen comes up when you try to do almost anything in this Plugin.
I think I'll just wait till there is a similar plugin developed by some Non-Greedy-For-$ type Cool Dude who will share his/her software for Free with everyone.
Untill then, I can live with the Nag-Screens.
