"It's really nothing but a gimic."

    December 17, 2006  |   By Dano

    Version: DFX Audio Enhancer 8

    Pros

Boost the sound of winamp volume. And, has its own spectrum analizer.

    Cons

You can do this your self by adjusting the volume manually. I don't recommend buying it 'cuz it's really not worth it. And I forgot to mention...it nags you to buy it unless you already purchased it.

    "Great Audio Enhancement Product"

    September 3, 2006  |   By pja138

    Version: DFX Audio Enhancer 7.5

    Pros

DFX enhances the audio output of any file played through the Winamp Player. There is a noticeable difference. If you have your computer wired to a receiver and a high end sound system you can really hear the improvement.

    Cons

    None.

    "Very Good Addtion to Winamp"

    June 30, 2006  |   By DaSpEcTeR

    Version: DFX Audio Enhancer 7.5

    Pros

This makes the music you listen to better, plain and simple. It's hard to listen to music without it. It feels like somethings missing. This really dilivers a better sound.

    Cons

It does not work that well when your listening to rock music or heavy metal. I'm sure that you could get the same output using the EQ, but it will takes some time to get it to the DFX presets.

"good for amateur sounds, overkill on commercial tracks"

    June 18, 2006  |   By DJ RIDOO

    Version: DFX Audio Enhancer 7.5

    Pros

What this program does is master sounds. I was looking for a good compressor for home-made streaming video's on the internet, that's the 'dynamic boost' they talk about. Many amateur sounds on the internet lack proper mastering, so then this program is good (mostly for ambience and dynamic boost).

    Cons

Quote "With DFX you can transform the sound of your PC into that of an expensive stereo system placed in a perfectly designed listening environment." = ********!

Like I said. Don't use this on professional tracks, they already contain this 'magic'. Else you'll have a pumping sound (compressor), no mid freq's (due to bass en treble boost) and a muddy reverb sound like you're in a church. In the long term you'll train your ears to a smiley-equaliser.

"The improvement of audio quality with DFX is simply AMAZING!"

    May 9, 2006  |   By Dano

    Version: DFX Audio Enhancer 7.5

    Pros

Being a audiophile this is the software for me! Keep on developing to make it even better (IF you can improve on an already perfect app! Being a community radio station, we find that our mp3 music actually sounds BETTER than the original CD versions, also so sez our listeners after they heard the difference.

    Cons

    None. :)

    "Good Stuff"

    April 20, 2006  |   By Superknown

    Version: DFX Audio Enhancer 7.5

    Pros

Been using DFX for a long time now. As a steady customer DFX now offers me all of DFX plug in for 10 bucks. Truly though the absolute best on the market is VOLUME LOGIC. IT HAS NO BElls or whistles. but there is a processor of some sort that truly resembles a tube sound. DFX Kicks as well and keeps getting better. With this stuff since I only use 2.1, I never need a top of the line Sound card. Thiis bete

    Cons

I agree with the earlier reviewer 20 bucks is too much
