When you set a boost value now, you can check "Save Boost Value Forever" which makes DBoost save the boost value forever (note, when you restart you must launch DBoost otherwise it doesn't set the saved boost value), or until you uncheck the box or move the application you've boosted. Note, this doesn't work on all processes but it should work on all real applications.
To set the forever boost value to applications, it checks for newly opened applications. You can change how often it checks in the "Forever Boost Value Settings", and if you set "Check applications every:" to "-1" it will not check. This might be good only want to speed up one single application, like a game for example.

Now you can add DBoost to the login items via the Preferences window, and you can make it start boosting at launch.
